Equality

All F2 cars will be produced to an identical specification and feature identical components. Only standard MSV F2 components may be fitted to the car.

The engines will all be dyno tested and equivalent. Maintenance of identical engine power is an important objective of MSV. This will be achieved by a combination of a number of mechanisms. A range of engine parameters will be continually monitored. Lap data will be analysed and comparisons of engine performance made to other cars. F2 has a unique advantage compared with other championships in that all data from all cars can be compared by the series organiser in the knowledge that engine power should be identical.

All cars will be operated to the same minimum weight, including driver. MSV will provide all fuel for all the cars from a common source. At the start of every session, all cars will be identically fuelled with race distance fuel.

Tyres will be allocated randomly to drivers, and all will have an equal number of sets; two new and two used set of dry tyres for each event, and one new and one used set of wet tyres for each event unless the first race is wet when a second set of new tyres may be used for a second wet race.

If any driver feels his car is not competitive after an event an experienced test driver will compare his car with the spare in identical conditions using the same tyres. If his car is not felt to be competitive it will be investigated and components changed until it is competitive. If this cannot be achieved before the next race the driver may use the spare car. A driver may choose to use the spare car even if nothing is found to be wrong with his own subject to payment of a €30,000 transfer option fee.
