Formula Two newcomer Harald Schlegelmilch is hoping to impress
with a points finish on his debut weekend at Monza after qualifying
P9 for today's race.
The 24-year-old Latvian, making a return to racing after more than
a year, has shown solid pace so far this weekend finishing third
during Friday's free practice and inside the top 10 after an
eventful wet/dry qualifying session.
"I'm feeling confident," said Schlegelmilch. "We've had some good
test sessions and although I've struggled a little to get to grips
with new tyres, hopefully we can get some good results.
"I've not been in a race car for a while so it's good to be back
and, like any new car, it takes time to get up to speed with it.
You get plenty of track time though in F2 so I've had opportunity
to get my mistakes out of the way!"
"F2 is definitely an option we're considering for next year so
it's good to be able to see how the car feels and how the
championship is run and hopefully we can get some good results
inside the points."
Today's race (round 15) gets underway at 14:30 (local time) with full coverage, including live streaming, on the official F2 website.
