Imola and Barcelona added to provisional F2 calendar
Dates revised following WTCC reshuffle

Following a change in the World Touring Car Calendar and subject to final FIA approval, the 2009 Italian F2 round will now take place at Imola on 20 September, replacing Magny Cours in France. Imola has a rich history with Formula One, hosting a race as recently as 2006, and the track has undergone a series of major renovations to the circuit and pit complex. The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari boasts some of the finest facilities in the world.

The Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain, has also been added to the provisional 2009 F2 calendar. The home of the Spanish Grand Prix since 1991 will hold the final round of the inaugural FIA Formula Two Championship on 25 October, with F2 running alongside the International GT Open series.

The German round at Oschersleben has been moved back by one week and will now take place on 6 September.
