Sasha Radola targets move to Formula Two
Croatian racer looking to embark on two-year campaign
Sasha Radola says he's targeting a move to the FIA Formula Two
Championship in 2012 to embark on a two-year campaign in the
series.
The 22-year-old recently enjoyed his first taste of the 500bhp
F2 car during post-season testing in Barcelona where he put in a
solid performance over the two days.
Radola, who has previously competed in Formula Renault 2.0 UK,
is now hoping to be on the grid when the 2012 season gets underway
at Silverstone in April.
Speaking to formulatwo.com Radola said: "Formula Two is a really
high level of racing where all the cars are the same and the
drivers are very experienced. This is something I want to be a part
of.
"I really enjoyed my first time in the F2 car during testing and
was satisfied with how I performed. It was difficult at first as
it's the fastest car I've driven to date and the power and how it
handled through the corners took time to adjust to. However, I know
the more time I spend in the car the more confident I will get and
the more I will improve."
He added: "Hopefully after the first few races I can start
collecting points and ride at the front of the field but I know
it's going to be tough and that this season will be part of a
two-year campaign."
