Markus Pommer powered away to his fourth pole position of the
season during the second Formula Two qualifying session at Monza.
He was closely followed by Christopher Zanella and Kevin Mirocha
ahead of the final round of the 2012 season. Read what the top
three had to say afterwards…
Markus Pommer
"The track got better and better compared to the beginning when it
was quite wet and slippery. I pushed a lot at the end to get a good
lap and everything felt together. My other times were not perfect
but ok. The car felt a lot better to yesterday and we only made
little changes and I think for the race we're going to be really
quick."
Christopher Zanella
"It's turning into a good weekend for us. I was quick in that
session and had a good lap at the end. I used my boost too late on
my final lap though so it wasn't perfect but I'm still happy with
second place. Anything can happen in the race though. I'm feeling
confident but we might make a few set up changes to make sure we
have the best pace."
Kevin Mirocha
"We went out on wet tyres first before switching to the slicks. I
was warming my tyres at the end of the session before waiting for
the last minute to set my quick lap. The track was still damp off
line so there was no room for error. I had a good feeling and we
seemed to have good pace. I think maybe some drivers improved their
times under waved yellows but anyway this is a good position for
us, especially after the result yesterday."
