Formula Two's season finale at Monza produced some of the best
racing in the championship's history with Mathéo Tuscher and
Christopher Zanella sharing the spoils, whilst Luciano Bacheta
walked away with the title honours and the Williams F1 test.
After a thrilling wet/dry qualifying session, it was Swiss teenager Tuscher who secured victory in the weekend's opening race, overcoming slippery track conditions to force the title battle into a dramatic final race showdown. Meanwhile, Christopher Zanella and Kevin Mirocha joined him on the podium with Latvian newcomer Harald Schlegelmilch also impressing on his debut with fifth.
Sunday's 16th and final round saw drivers enjoy warm sunshine for a change with just Bacheta and Tuscher left in the title hunt. After a great start, it was Zanella who jumped pole-sitter Pommer off the line to power home for his second win of the season - celebrating in style with some impromptu doughnuts! Behind Zanella was second place Mirocha and 22-year-old Bacheta who's third place was enough to see him crowned the 2012 F2 champion.
F2 fans can now relive all the action from the legendary Italian circuit on F2TV with race highlights of rounds 15 and 16, together with a host of great videos from throughout the season.
