After seven fantastic rounds there's just one weekend left to
play out for the Formula Two drivers with the season finale at
Italy's famous Monza circuit on 28-30 September.
The high-speed parkland circuit, that dates back to the 1920s,
will provide the climax to the 2012 FIA Formula Two Championship
where the series' fourth champion will be crowned.
Three drivers remain in the hunt for the title - Luciano Bacheta,
Mathéo Tuscher and Markus Pommer - with the Comma Oil-backed
Bacheta the favourite to scoop the honours and a Williams F1 Test
thanks to his 33.5 point lead. The Brit is no stranger to the 5.793
km track and recorded his best F2 result of 2011 there with fifth.
However, given both Tuscher and Pommer have outscored Bacheta
throughout the second half of the season, anything can happen when
rounds 15 and 16 get underway.
The final rounds of the season take place from 28-30 September
with drivers benefitting from a full day's testing beforehand on 27
September. Full coverage, including live streaming of both races,
will be available on the F2 website.
