Alex Fontana claimed the top spot during today's (Thursday) second Formula Two test session at the Hungaroring, closely followed by Mihai Marinescu and Christopher Zanella.
On fresh rubber, newcomer Richard Gonda set the early pace before Plamen Kralev had a sizeable impact into the barriers at Turn 4, bringing out the red flag as the Bulgarian was led away unhurt.
The session resumed with half the time gone as Mathéo Tuscher and Luciano Bacheta looked threatening before several of the drivers pitted to switch to new tyres for the remaining 10 minutes.
Alex Fontana was the first to respond to go top with Marinescu and Markus Pommer showing their hand in second and third. The top two remained unchanged as the chequered flag came out while Zanella was able to sneak into third spot ahead of the German with Richard Gonda once again impressing in fifth.
Tuscher finished sixth ahead of Dino Zamparelli with Bacheta and Daniel McKenzie ending eighth and ninth with the two Brits lapping in identical times. Meanwhile, Axcil Jefferies took 10th position with session one pace-setter Max Snegirev only managing P12.
The third test session gets underway at 14:30 (local time) with full coverage and live timing available on the F2 website.
