 Qualifying 230 minutes
 Race 130 - 40 minutes
 Race 230 - 40 minutes

It is anticipated that in one race during each event there may be a mandatory pit stop. This will be advised on the event Set-Up Sheet.

At this pit stop any work desired by the driver may be carried out including tyre changes but except re-fuelling. During the mandatory pit stop the driver must stop the F2 car and keep it stationary at the required position for a minimum of 10 seconds. This period will commence when the car is stationary in the stipulated position and the driver pushes a steering wheel mounted button to start the timer.

When the 10 seconds have elapsed the dash display will flash [> 10 sec !] and if work has been completed the driver may leave the pits. His or her mechanic will hold a lollipop sign saying either [Traffic], advising of close pit lane traffic, or [Clear]. When to leave is the driver’s choice.

If the driver allows the car to move before 10 seconds have elapsed he or she must undertake a drive through penalty, indicated by a flashing [Drive Thru Penalty!] on his or her dash display. This penalty will also be communicated to the race director via a flashing light on the car.

The driver is responsible for choosing when to pit. The mandatory pit stop may not be taken before two laps have been completed during the relevant race, or when the safety car is operational. If this rule is contravened a drive through penalty must be taken.
