How reliable is the F2 car?

Maximising reliability remains of utmost importance to the Formula Two team with its expert mechanics and engineers working tirelessly to ensure the fleet of F2 cars run without fault, giving drivers complete confidence in their JPH1B machines.

This attention to detail has certainly paid off and from a total of 352 race starts during the 2011 season there were only five car failures, a remarkable rate of just 1.4%.

Last year's F2 champion Mirko Bortolotti also had absolute confidence in his F2 car with it being 100% reliable throughout his record breaking championship campaign.

F2 only employs high quality engineers who have extensive experience in top level single-seater racing while the dedication of the F2 mechanics is nothing short of exceptional - all playing a crucial role in maintaining the total reliability and equality of the series.
