Jack Clarke enjoyed some promising times in his first season of
Formula Two after finishing fifth in the 2008 Formula Palmer Audi
Championship.
After solid performances in Valencia and Brno, his season was
boosted by an excellent showing in Spa-Francorchamps where Clarke
qualified 12th and 13th for the two races - his best result of the
season. A storming drive then saw him come through the field in
race one, Clarke improving seven places to eventually claim a
season's best fifth-place finish at the Belgian Grand Prix
circuit.
Such determined drives became the hallmark of Clarke's season, with
the Briton improving by a total of ten places in the two races at
Donington Park before making up eight places to come through from
15th on the grid and finish seventh in Oscherleben - his second
points haul of the season. If he can couple his race craft to a bit
more pace and consistency, Jack could be on the podium.
