Strong race pace and storming starts were the hallmark of Armaan
Ebrahim's
season in F2, and the Indian pilot often emerged at the end of the
first lap well
up on his grid position.
This was most spectacular in Brno, where Armaan enjoyed his two
best finishes
of the season - improving an incredible total of 24 places in the
two races to
claim sixth in each from 19th and 17th on the grid respectively.
Such form
confirmed his reputation as one of India's best young racing
prospects, a
standing he earned after making history at the age of 16 when he
became the
youngest ever competitor to represent his nation in the A1GP World
Cup of
Motorsport, despite mainly competing in Formula BMW with a mere
140bhp!
Further impressive performances followed on several occasions for
Armaan, who
resided in the UK whilst competing in Formula Two. He scored his
third points
finish of the season with an eighth place in race one at Donington
Park, and he
also ran well at Oschersleben and Barcelona, finishing inside the
top ten on both
occasions and enjoying his best qualifying of the year in Spain
with a terrific 9th.
