Following an incredibly successful collaboration in 2009, the
FIA Formula Two Championship will once again partner with
Eurosport
in 2010.
Eurosport is the world's foremost motorsports broadcaster, with
a network that reaches 59 countries and 139 million homes in Europe
and 10 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, with further launches
planned.
In 2010 every event will be broadcast live by
Eurosport across their European and Pan-Asian platforms, totalling
more than 18 hours of live race coverage over the
season.
Race distances will be increased for 2010, with one race of 45
minutes and one race of 35 minutes every weekend. The FIA Formula
Two Championship will also feature one additional round compared to
2009, meaning the series will generate greater levels of television
coverage in 2010.
Races will again be broadcast as part of the same programme as
the FIA World Touring Car Championship, which delivers huge
television audiences worldwide. Eurosport Events will also organise
live streaming of FIA Formula Two Championship races on both the
Eurosport/Yahoo and official F2 websites, in five different
languages and with free access.
Races will be broadcast in 16:9 widescreen format and in high
definition for the majority of events.
