Hotel
Drivers will need to break hard and late for the left-hander at the end of the main straight, before allowing the car to drift right and holding a tight inside line around the long right-hander. Over enthusiasm often costs drivers, as they need to be patient until the last minute before unwinding the lock and powering on down to Turn 2.
Triple
Triple is a challenging triple apex left-hander, and drivers will again need to be patient and caress the car through the first two kinks before taking a straight line through the third, running to the left in order to set themselves up for the next corner.
Turn 4 Hairpin
It’s hard on the brakes and down the gears as drivers approach the hairpin, and drivers will need to be slow into the corner in order to get the best run out. Drivers will need to take a tight approach, letting the car drift in the middle before taking a late final apex to avoid running wide on the left where there is precious little run-off.
McDonalds Chicane
Critical to setting up a good run through Turn 6 and down the back straight, McDonalds requires a fast entry and progressive use of the brakes and throttle to keep the car stabilised through the right-left chicane. Drivers will need to be wary of using too much kerb, which unsettles the car and can throw it wildly off line.
Shell Kurve/Ammann Kurve
After the long back straight, drivers need to get hard on the brakes and take a late apex through the right-hander in order to set themselves up for the following left. Drivers will need to take care with the high kerbs through the esses, but will look to use all the track and run-off on the exit.
Zeppelin-CAT Kurve
The final corner of the circuit, Die Spielmacher is crucial to getting a good drive out onto the longest straight on the circuit. There is plenty of run-off on the outside, so drivers will look to take an early apex and get on the power as soon as possible.

Circuit Information

Opening in July 1997, the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben became Germany's third permanent racetrack after the Nürburgring and Hockenheimring.

The circuit hosted rounds of the FIA European Touring Car Championship before it upgraded to World Championship status, and F2 partnered the WTCC here in August 2009.

Oschersleben is located in Oschersleben, Börde, and its fairly flat contours create a smooth and fast circuit. The DTM series also features at Oschersleben every season.
