FIA Formula Two Championship 2010

Turn 1
Patience is the key to Turn 1, and drivers need to keep a tight line and wait until the last moment to get the power down; carry too much speed and they risk unsettling the car and running wide onto the grass, compromising their run down the following straight.
Turn 3
With a short approach from Turn 2, drivers will need to get over to the left quickly and take a late apex on the tricky Turn 3. A good exit is critical as the corner is followed by another straight, so drivers will need to keep a tight exit to avoid running over the kerb and onto the grass.
Turn 5
The approach to Turn 5 comes up rapidly after exiting Turn 4, and drivers will need to deal with a blind entrance to the corner that makes it easy to take too much kerb and launch the car off line. Drivers will need to keep it tight in preparation for the two left-handers of Turns 6 and 7.
Turn 8
Turn 8 is another corner that requires a patient approach, and drivers will need to resist the temptation to get on the power early in order to keep a tight line through the corner and ensure a good run down the back straight.
Turn 9
After the long back straight, drivers will need to be firm on the brakes whilst avoiding lock-up as the circuit runs downhill into the tight Turn 9. They will also have to work hard to keep the rear of the car in line as the camber falls away from the car halfway round the corner.
Turn 13
Drivers will need to keep to the right after the exit of Turn 12 to get a good approach into the final turn of the track, and they will be looking to turn in early and use all of the space on the exit to get a good run onto the main straight.

Circuit Information

The Brno Circuit is located close to the city of Brno at Kohoutovice.

It was used before and after the Second World War for events such as the Grand Prix of Masaryk, and once measured 19 miles in length. It was formerly the site of the pre-war Czechoslovakian Grand Prix.

The current circuit, built in the late 1980s, hosts the MotoGP and World Superbike Championships, and has also held rounds of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport.

F2 will partner with the FIA World Touring Car Championship at Brno in June 2009.
