FIA Formula Two Championship - Winter Testing
The FIA Formula Two Championship is to run a winter test
programme in Spain to aid with the selection process for 2012
drivers.
The two-day session takes place at the Circuit de Catalunya in
Barcelona, home to the Spanish Grand Prix and venue for the final
rounds of this year's F2 championship.
Open to both existing and new drivers (subject to F2 approval), the
test will allow potential racers the chance to explore the JPH1B F2
car, which boasts a cockpit-adjustable front wing and anti-roll bar
and an overboost facility increasing power to 500bhp.
As well as full briefings and support from the expert F2
engineers, every driver will receive two new sets of tyres per day
to use during the test. They will also have access to full data
comparison with the fastest driver to ensure maximum learning
opportunity, together with onboard videos and the ability to
overlay their video with that of the quickest driver from each and
every session.
The test will provide a fantastic learning potential for
prospective drivers considering racing in the series in 2012.
