Formula Two represents Thiemo Storz's maiden season in
international single seaters, but the German arrives in
F2 having enjoyed success in a wide variety of series since
making his single seater debut in 2008.
Following a successful karting career which included a
third-place finish in the 2007 KF2 Swiss Championships, Storz
completed eight races across three series when he stepped into
single seaters - competing in Formula 2000 Light Italy and the
winter trophies of the same series and Formula Renault 2.0. He had
most success in the Light Italy Winter Trophy, taking one podium
and one pole position from two races.
Storz was again busy in 2009 as he competed across three
different formulas. His greatest success came in the form of a
dominant campaign in the Formula 2000 Light Italy Tatuus class,
where he scored a remarkable nine wins, ten podiums and 11 pole
positions from the 11 races - giving him a commanding championship
victory.
Thiemo then elected to sit out much of the 2010 season in order
to prepare for his final exams at school. He did however test in a
multitude of championships in order to assess his options for 2011,
including a successful spell in Formula Palmer Audi where he
finished second behind champion Nigel Moore in his maiden race at
Rockingham.
