BM Steel Construction A/S is a contract manufacturer forging company with roots back to 1960 when the company started as a traditional village smithy. Since then the company has grown to do everything within blacksmith and steel work, where large and small tasks are solved with emphasis on the "heavy" steel industry, but also locksmith work and stainless tasks are performed by experienced personnel. They have completed great time and resource consuming tasks, ie: amalgamation of bridge sections on the Great Belt Bridge, assembling and welding of over 30 km of heating pipes in Copenhagen Harbor, assembly and welding of ship sections at Odense Steel shipyard, and many more. Their clients include in addition to yards and shipping companies in Denmark and Germany, virtually all major construction companies, refineries, power plants and other industrial customers.

Scandlines GmbH is one of Europe's largest ferry companies, established in 1998 by a merger of the largest national ferry companies in Denmark and Germany. Their core area is the triangle between Denmark, Germany and Sweden, where they have the densest route network of any ferry company. In 2007 Scandlines started operating to Hanko and currently offers four departures per week using the sister ships 'Aurora' and 'Merchant', which have a load capacity of 2,170 lane metres and cabin space for up to 12 drivers. Both vessels have been awarded the highest Finnish ice class.
