18-year-old Mikkel Mac is one of the youngest drivers in the
2011 Formula Two field. The Dane graduates to F2 following
impressive showings in winter testing last December - he finished
7th overall in Portimão - and pre-season testing at
Silverstone and Snetterton, where he regularly ran amongst the top
ten fastest drivers.
Mikkel moved from karting into single seaters in 2009 where he
raced in the Danish Formula Ford championship, taking two victories
and six podiums from eight races. He combined his Formula Ford
outings with selected appearances in the Formula BMW Europe series,
scoring a points finish at Zandvoort.
Mikkel's next target was the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern
European Cup championship in 2010 with the KTR team. He enjoyed an
outstanding season, scoring three wins and two pole positions on
his way to second overall.
