At the age of just 17, Brit Jordan King becomes the youngest
driver in the 2011 FIA Formula Two Championship after a rapid rise
through the motorsport ranks.
He joins the F2 field midway through the season at the official
test at Snetterton before embarking on three rounds of the series
at Spa-Francorchamps, Nurburgring and Brands Hatch.
Living in Harbury, Leamington Spa, he started karting at the age of
11, quickly rising to the Minimax Super One National Kart
Championship. He finished 12th in his maiden campaign before
improving to finish second the following year. Shortly after he
moved up to the KF3 series and then KF2, impressing in both and
finishing as runner-up in the latter in 2010.
He made his car racing debut at the end of the 2010 season in the
Formula Palmer Audi series competing in four races yet remarkably
securing a maiden pole and podium.
This year he has been contesting the Formula Renault UK 2.0 series
with Manor Competition, regularly finishing inside the top 10 with
a best result of sixth.
