Jon joins the FIA Formula Two Championship with a wealth of
experience and race wins under his belt. The British driver began
karting in 1999 until 2006, before stepping up into single-seater
racing.
After competing in two Formula Ford races he moved into the Formula
Renault UK series with the AKA Lamac team. The Leeds based
driver then graduated to the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2007,
finishing second overall as well as enjoying campaigns in the
Formula Renault French series and the UK Winter Cup.
In 2008, Jon raced in the Formula Three Euroseries and Masters of
Formula 3, finishing third in the latter, before moving into the
highly competitive Formula Renault 3.5 Series.
For the past two season he has raced for both Fortec Motorsport and
Comtec Racing, securing pole positions, fastest laps, podiums and
race wins, and ending both seasons 13th overall.
The 22-year-old now joins the 2011 FIA Formula Two Championship
where he hopes his previous experience and racecraft can help
him lift the converted Williams F1 prize.
