Frenchman Benjamin Lariche arrives in F2 off the back of two seasons in Formula Renault WEC.

He took his first single seater podium in 2006 when competing in Formula Renault Campus France, before he stepped up to the main French series the following year.

Benjamin moved his way up the racing ladder to secure strong results during his first season in the Formula Renault 2.0 West European Championship, including a win at Valencia, beating a host of talented rivals including current British Formula 3 champion and Red Bull F1 test driver Daniel Ricciardo. He finished tenth overall in both the 2008 and 2009 seasons, whilst he also contested selected rounds of the ultra competitive Formula Renault Eurocup.

Lariche graduates to Formula Two in 2010 after contesting the four day winter testing programme in Valencia and Portimao during December. The 22-year-old was fifth and sixth respectively during the two days of running in Spain before he went on to consistently run in the top ten in Portugal.

Target for 2010:
“I am very excited and impatient to begin a new season in Formula Two - I haven’t raced since December and it has been too long! It is also going to be really exciting driving this powerful and competitive car, particularly with the new upgrades. I feel confident after the F2 winter tests - my main target is to just keep improving as a driver and I hope to finish in the points as often as possible, and why not score some podiums!”
